Found Money Book Review Yields Interesting Positioning Strategy
February 21st, 2010 @ Ivana Taylor
My latest book review “Found Money” just published on Small Business Trends. As a result, I got one of my favorite e-mail surprises; a note from the author.
These are especially sweet when I pick the book and review it on my own because then it’s a surprise for the author as well. And this answers the proverbial question”What do you get an author who has everything?” You give them an authentically enthusiastic review.
There’s more to “Found Money”
There’s more to “Found Money” than just looking at your business a whole new and more profitable way. What intrigued me just as much as the strategies Steve Wilkingoff covered are the re-positioning strategies he used in his own business that moved him out of the “CPA” space into the “profit” space.
It isn’t much of a cognitive leap to associate a CPA with “profits” but I’ll be it did wonders for his pricing and his margins as a consultant. Because in general, CPA’s report on the past. They don’t have too much to say about your future. But Steve’s re-positioning as a Capital Advisor (R) has exponentially increased his value and his impact on his clients — and therefore his bottom line.
Steve is currently working with some clients in Europe, but I’m looking forward to his coming back across the pond to chat with me about his marketing strategies and how we can all apply them to increase our profitability.
